They are not selling you a visa. They are selling you a form.

United Kingdom. Applied for by me.

I have applied for and gotten several visas by myself, on a Nigerian passport, with no agent. That includes the US, the UK and Schengen, the three people will tell you are impossible on this passport. Agents do not have a back door. They fill the same form you can fill, with information you gave them, and charge you for typing.

Everything I know is free. Ask me anything on WhatsApp. I only charge if you want me sitting with you while you fill it yourself.

Why I do this

The only visa I have ever been refused is the one I paid an agent for.

My first application was Schengen. I did what everybody does. I found an agent, I paid, I handed over my passport and my documents, and I waited for somebody who knew better than me to handle it.

It came back refused.

I have applied for every visa since myself, including the US, the UK and Schengen, the three people swear you cannot get on a Nigerian passport. I have not been refused again.

I know what went wrong with that application, because I kept the messages. I have redacted the agent's name, because this is not about one person. Read them and decide for yourself. What I will tell you is this. Paying somebody did not protect me. Doing it myself has not failed me once.

Visa refusal letter from the Consulate of Spain in Lagos, 2023. Box 10 is ticked: the information submitted about the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable. My name is covered.
Schengen refusal from Spain, May 2023. Applied through an agent.

The letter

I have redacted my name. Everything else is exactly as the consulate sent it, including the grounds, because the grounds are the part worth learning from.

The consulate ticked one box, number 10: "the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable." Now look at the first message from the agent. Before my appointment, the agent sent me templates for my personal and company introduction letters and told me to use them.

The messages

WhatsApp from the agent before my appointment: two Word templates, one for a personal introduction letter and one for a company introduction letter, then 'Kindly use the template to work on your letters'. Agent's name covered.
Before: the agent's templates
WhatsApp on 22 May 2023: I tell the agent the Spanish Embassy denied my visa and send the refusal letter. The agent replies 'Ohhh' and 'Good morning'. Names redacted.
After: 22 May 2023
The service, itemised

Here is exactly what you are paying an agent to do

I want you to read this list and decide for yourself whether it is worth what you were quoted.

  1. 01They ask you for your passport, your bank statement, your employment letter and your travel dates.
  2. 02You send all of it to them.
  3. 03They open the same public portal you can open.
  4. 04They type your information into the form.
  5. 05They upload the documents you sent them.
  6. 06They book your biometrics appointment, which you also attend yourself.
  7. 07They pay the embassy fee, using your money, at the same fixed price you would have paid.
  8. That is the whole service. Every piece of information in that application came from you.

And the four things they will tell you that are not true

Straight from the WhatsApp threads. Each one, then what is actually true.

“I have a contact inside the embassy.”

What is true

He does not. Ask him to name the person and put the arrangement in writing. The conversation ends there every single time.

“I can get you an appointment date nobody else can get.”

What is true

This is a lie. Embassies do not reserve appointment dates for agents. There is one public calendar and everybody books from it, including him. What he has is somebody refreshing the page, which you can also do, for free.

“I can make it faster.”

What is true

Processing time is set by the mission and it does not move because of who submitted the file. Paying more does not put you further up a queue that does not exist.

“My approval rate is 98 percent.”

What is true

Ask to see the refusals. Nobody who says this can produce them, because the number was invented on the spot.

Real quotes. Real fees. You do the maths.

These are real price lists posted by Nigerian travel agencies on Instagram, and one quote sent in a private message. I have redacted the agencies' names because the point is not to attack anybody. The point is the gap between the two numbers, and what that gap could have paid for on your trip.

Read this one twice

The part that should actually scare you

Plenty of agents submit flight and hotel bookings that do not exist. They generate a PDF that looks like a reservation. It is quick, it is free for them, and it is the single most dangerous thing that can happen to your passport.

01

They check the booking

A real airline reservation has a 6-character PNR that sits in the airline's system. The officer types it in. A fabricated one comes back not found, immediately, and now your file has a document in it that is not real.

02

The ban lands on you, not the agent

Your name is on the application. Your biometrics are attached to it. The agency's name appears nowhere. When the consequence arrives it arrives at your passport, and the agent keeps trading.

03

The UK rules, precisely

The Home Office can refuse you over a false document even if you genuinely did not know it was false, and even if the agent supplied it. That is paragraph SUI 10.1 of the Immigration Rules. If they decide you used deception yourself, refusal is mandatory under SUI 9.1 and it comes with a 10-year ban on UK entry clearance. Ten years.

04

The US treats it as misrepresentation

Material misrepresentation in a US visa application is a lifetime inadmissibility finding, not a temporary one. A waiver exists and it is hard to get.

The fix

What to do instead, and it is free

You need a real ticket, not a fake one. Book a fully refundable fare, so if your visa is refused you get your money back. For hotels, book somewhere with free cancellation on a normal booking site. Both are real, both verify, both cost you nothing if you cancel. Never accept a PDF from anybody without checking the reference yourself.

I have personally done several of these. For the rest I know the process and I will tell you plainly when something is outside what I have done myself.

Nobody should ever charge you for these

Your passport already gets you into these places with no visa applied for in advance, or with an entry permit issued when you land. If an agent quotes you for a visa to one of them, you have learned everything you need to know about that agent.

Proof of travel

Places this passport has been

Every one of these trips started with an application I filled myself. No agent, no fixer, nobody's cousin who knows somebody at the embassy.

Three steps, two of them free

How this works

The information is free. It is genuinely free, and I am not going to make you book a call to find out something you could have googled. I make money in one place only, and it is the last step.

  1. Free, always01

    Message me on WhatsApp

Ask me anything. Which country, what documents, whether your situation is a problem, what a refusal letter means. I will tell you honestly if I think you should not apply yet, and that answer costs you nothing.

    Message me now
  2. Free02

Read the guide and do it yourself

Most people can stop here. The free guide covers the countries Nigerians apply for most, how to find cheap flights, which bookings to make so a refusal does not cost you money, and how to fill every form yourself. Plenty of people will read it, apply alone, get approved, and never pay me anything. That is a good outcome.

    Read the free guide
  3. ₦50,00003

Only if you want your hand held

Some people want somebody sitting with them while they do it. We get on a screen share and go through the form question by question. You type every answer yourself, on your own account, with your own login. I am not applying for you and I will not touch your keyboard. I am telling you what each question is really asking. It is ₦50,000. Doing more than one application may cost extra, and I will tell you what it is case by case before we start.

Free, no catch

Ask me anything

Tell me where you want to go and what you are stuck on. The form opens a WhatsApp chat with your question already typed, so all you do is press send. No payment, no call booking, no catch.

Question form

Nothing is saved on this site. Your message goes straight to my WhatsApp and nowhere else.

Straight answers

The questions people actually ask

So what do I actually pay you for?

One thing. Sitting with you on a screen share while you fill your own application, telling you what each question means and what a strong answer looks like. That is it. Everything else on this site and everything I will tell you on WhatsApp is free.

Will you apply on my behalf?

No, and I will not be talked into it. You fill your own form, on your own account, with your own email and password. If someone else types your answers you are signing a document a stranger wrote, and if anything in it is wrong the consequence lands on your passport and not theirs. This is the whole reason the service is shaped this way.

Can you guarantee approval?

No. Walk away from anybody who says they can. The consulate decides alone and nobody outside that building has influence. What I can do is make sure nothing in your file gives them an easy reason to refuse you.

My agent says he has a contact at the embassy.

He does not. That is the oldest line in this business. Ask him to name the person, put the arrangement in writing, and refund you in full if it does not work. The conversation ends there every time.

Are you a lawyer or a licensed immigration adviser?

No. I am somebody who has done this many times on a Nigerian passport and keeps very good notes. This is guidance from experience, not legal advice, and I will say plainly when a question is beyond what I know.

What will you not help with?

Tourist, visitor and short study visas only. I do not touch asylum, work, spouse or settlement applications. Those genuinely need a regulated adviser and I will tell you to go and find one.

I have already been refused. Is it finished?

No. A refusal letter is a checklist. It tells you exactly which part they did not believe. Most reapplications fail because people submit the same file again with a new date on it. Send me the letter on WhatsApp and I will tell you what it actually says.

I have no travel history. Should I even try?

Depends on the country and on the rest of your file, and this is exactly the question WhatsApp is for. Sometimes the honest answer is to get one or two easier stamps first. I would rather tell you that than take your money for an application I expect to fail.

Still not sure? Just ask. It costs nothing.
